It’s a doozy of a week at Boulder County craft breweries! We’ve been enjoying a wonderful Colorado Craft Beer Week with tons of events and giveaways in taprooms around the county. This weekend, we cap it all off with Collaboration Fest on Saturday at the National Western Complex! Whether you’re heading down to Denver for the festival or staying in Boulder, we here at Beer in Boulder have our picks for five of the most exciting taproom happenings going on over the next week in Boulder County.

Collaboration Fest New Beer Releases at Multiple Boulder County Taprooms

Friday, March 24th

Boulder County’s craft breweries have been working overdrive in preparation for Collaboration Fest on Saturday! The creative beer collaborations they have come up with this year are out of this world, and you can get a sneak peek at some of the concoctions today at various breweries around town! Here are some of the taprooms offering samples of their new creations:

Crystal Springs Brewing Company & BRU Handbuilt Ales & Eats: Garage Brew, a New England Style Mexican Lager

Fate Brewing Company: Sour IPA (brewed with Declaration Brewing) AND New England Style Hazy IPA (brewed with Reubens Brew)

Boulder Beer Company: Coconut Curry Hefeweizen (brewed with Ska Brewing) AND Ladyfingers, a Tiramisu Brown Ale (brewed with New Holland Brewing Company)

Taproom Grand Opening at Open Door Brewing Company

Friday, March 24th, from 3:00 – 9:00 PM

Open Door Brewing Company beers have been available (and enjoyed!) throughout Colorado for quite a while, and they will now have a taproom of their own here in Boulder County. Today, head out to Longmont to check out the new space and enjoy the line-up of Open Door brews, from the Over the Moon Vanilla Milk Stout to the Libertas Rye Cream Ale and many, many more!

New Beer Release: Empress Anzu & Bartleby at Odd13 Brewing Company

Saturday, March 25th, from 1:00 – 11:00 PM

Odd13 Brewing Company is hitting us with multiple new beer releases this Saturday! Stop by the taproom (and be sure to have your dancing shoes on) as you boogie and imbibe in two new brews. First up is the Empress Anzu, an IPA with hints of apricot. Second, try the Bartleby, a barrel aged dark sour and collaboration brew with Barley’s Angels of Colorado.

Indulge in just a little too much Friday night and need to sweat out some suds? Looking to loosen up for a fun and active weekend? No matter your reason, stop by Wibby Brewing Company this Saturday morning for a Hair of the Downward Dog yoga class at 9:30 AM! Register for class a head of time (here) and enjoy stretching and sipping on a delicious lager up in Longmont.

Peak of the Week: Tie Dye with Jessica Shaw at Left Hand Brewing Company

Wednesday, March 29th, from 6:00 – 8:30 PM

For their weekly Peak of the Week event this coming Wednesday, Left Hand is offering a blast from your high school and college past, tie dyeing! Stop by the taproom to get your hands dirty and tie dye with local tie dye artist Jessica Shaw.
