Boulder County’s craft breweries are wasting no time getting back into their creative brewing ways now that the holidays are over. Our county’s taprooms aren’t letting the cold slow them down either, and 2017 is already a rocking year. This week, the breweries are not disappointing with anniversary parties, exclusive beer releases, and much more. Here are Beer in Boulder‘s picks for five of the most exciting craft brewery events happening in Boulder County this week.
Friday, January 13th, at 4:00 PM to Saturday, January 14th, at 9:00 PM
J Wells Brewery might be the smallest brewery in Boulder, but this nanobrewery oozes with personality! Stop by this hidden gem on Friday or Saturday for their 4th anniversary celebration and enjoy great beer, food, and a beer raffle.
January 14th, from 1:00 – 11:00 PM
Once again, Odd13 Brewing Company in Lafayette is hosting a taproom only can release for yet another exciting, creative craft brew. Stop by their taproom this Saturday to taste and pick up some cans of Hop Hackin’ Henry, an aromatic IPA sure to be a treat.
Monday, January 16th, from 6:30 – 8:00 PM
This month’s Left Hand Brewing Company Ales4Females events feature a special presentation by Wibby Brewing Company co-founders Ted Risk and Ryan Wibby. Attendees will get to hear about not just Wibby’s creative craft lagers and the chemistry of beer, but also about the business of owning (and working towards expanding!) a craft brewery.
Monday, January 16th, from 6:30 – 9:00 PM
As if you needed any additional reasons to visit Louisville’s Gravity Brewing Company, stop by on Monday for a community potluck and a ping pong tournament, the winners of which get a free pint of beer! The Gravity Beer Parlor bar is the longest in Louisville and, if ping pong isn’t your jam, it features corn hole and pool too, and it’s a wonderful place to hang out and enjoy a Boulder County brew.
Thursday, January 19th, from 5:00 – 9:00 PM
A tequila barrel aged barleywine that clocks in at 14.6% ABV? We. Are. In! In honor of Upslope‘s 500th batch of beer, this special brew has been in the works for eleven months and is a multifaceted and flavorful beer that will warm you up from the inside out.
